Why goats milk soap?

Well for one, take a look at these ingredient lists! The first one is an example of a normal goats milk soap recipe. The second picture is the ingredient list on Dove’s Daily Moisturizing Body Wash. That’s the same body wash that was in my shower for years! Why!?

There are so many chemicals and additives that the FDA classifies almost all “soaps” on the market as “synthetic detergent products”. This makes sense because commercial soap strips all of the natural oils and bacteria from your skin, the good and the bad. This is the main cause of oily, dry and acne prone skin!

The Benefits

Our goat’s milk soap contains all natural oils and butters with each one hand picked. Each ingredient brings a different skin nourishing quality to the soap and can change the physical feel of the bar and the lather. Goat’s milk is a natural gentle cleanser that has long been thought to help a variety of skin conditions. It also has a neutral PH, that means it allows your skin to sit on the couch with a glass of wine and watch hallmark movies until it can learn to have a PH of it’s own. No more fighting oily or dry skin!

Goat’s milk is rich in beneficial nutrients and fatty acids:

Vitamin A: Anti-aging.

Selenium: Allows moisture absorption.

Lipids: Soothes dry skin and is thought to releive symptoms of psoriasis and eczema.

Lactic Acid: Can help with scars and dark spots, gentle exfoliant, clears pores and helps with acne.

Keep in mind, these properties vary depending on the amount of goat’s milk used in the soap. Twin Doe Soaps always uses fresh goat’s milk straight from our back yard and we always use more milk for more benefits!
